When I first saw this ad I thought to myself, there will be a financial part to this, and I thought right. This is an ad for a clothing, and they are advertising a sale. And do you know why I like this a lot, because not one place in this ad, does it show the word, SALE, in big bold letters. There are many different ways of saying there is a sale going on, and they have done it with a pair of scissors. How clever is that?!?! It is very clever. It is using something clothing designers use, and applying it to an advertisement. And in this day in age, simply putting a SALE in big bold letters, isn't really enough. Making the scissors into a percent symbol was just enough to let me, the consumer, know there is something going on with money at this store, and I need to go there or read on. Knowing what other design elements you can use to your disposal beyond the typefaces and filters, is an important part in this industry.

Happy SALE SHOPPING!

Gabe
